How We Serve

Economic Development

Our organization engages organic economic growth- we are teaching people to fish rather than giving fish. Through partnership with local community leaders, we find the needs of the people and provide the means to be self sufficient. In Penyi, it has been identified that there is a need for farming and trade education. As a result, we have purchased 2.5 acres to build a farm and sent 3 orphans to college, with the expectation that they will in turn pay back their tuition to the next orphan.

Growth through Education

If a child is lucky enough to go to college, they often leave their rural village to go to a city where they can find work after school ends. Our goal is to keep the people local to their village and train their community with their new skills- and spend their income in the community to support the new business that are being built.

Orphan Support

While the vehicle for financial sustainability is economic projects and growth, the purpose of our effort is to change the narrative for children's whose fate is largely out of their control. In the States, we have the blessing of writing the end of our stories- we largely control our own narrative. Our vision is to provide these children a chance to control the narrative of their own life.
